Maritime Standard Conference in Abu Dhabi

Delegates from NMA attended the 8th Annual Maritime Standard Tanker Conference in Dubai. The conference consisted of three workshops which NMA participated in, focussing on environmental protection and sustainability, assessing how tanker shipping can take a lead in achieving demanding greenhouse gas reduction targets. This was a very timely conference given that the UAE will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP28, in just a few weeks' time, where the ideas and suggestions developed during the workshops will be further discussed by the wider industry to support the drive towards developing sustainable shipping.
