The professional diversity of the NMA teaching staff with expertise in various fields and the state-of-the-art facilities, enable the Academy to extend the very best in the areas of education and training to its trainees, and in the process, design and provide specialist consulting services for the maritime industry. The NMA faculty consists of professionals and academicians, including engineers, master mariners, industry experts, and business professionals.

The Kingdom’s only certified and accredited maritime training academy offers learning streams covering the length and breadth of the maritime industry, categorized into three broad trades:

• Manufacturing – Building and repairing of vessels and offshore rigs and platforms,
• Operation of sea ports and terminals, and
• Marine Operations – Vessel operations and maintenance (marine operations).

NMA will deliver a 2-year program for enrolled trainees leading to the award of vocational qualifications as appropriate to their trades (mentioned above) with the initial vocational qualification being at level 2.

Subsequent to this, the NMA shall offer further continuing educational programs leading to levels 3 and 4 in the respective trades. This may be on a day release or block release basis.
