Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference in Jeddah, KSA

The NMA attended the 2023 Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference (SMIC) in Jeddah, organized and hosted by the Transport General Authority (TGA).

The conference offered a platform for collaboration between government officials, researchers, and innovators to exchange ideas and explore solutions focused on the theme of the event "Innovation for a Greener Future". During the conference, the NMA Managing Director participated in one of the main panel discussions to progress the harmonization between the maritime industry and educational institutions. The NMA also facilitated a workshop on the development and implementation of a Green Curriculum. Through presenting to industry and showcasing the Academy's state-of-the-art resources, several exciting leads for collaboration and partnerships were uncovered and will be pursued in the coming months.
